Lúz Gallery is pleased to present the bold, challenging, and inspirational work of Regina-based artist Thomas Bartlett.
Informed in part by the Impressionist tradition in painting, Bartlett uses his camera to interpret both the natural and urban landscapes, resulting in bold swaths of colour that urge an emotional rather than literal response. Bartlett challenges our conventional understanding of the photographic image with this painterly technique and presents us with a fresh point of view on our immediate environment.
