Curated by Duane Prentice, this is the first public exhibition of this remarkable collection of images and is a rare opportunity to experience the incredible world of medicine through the passionate eye of a master photographer.

In 2008 Ted Grant, one of Canada's most accomplished photojournalists with more then 240,000 images held in the National Archives of Canada, was honored by the University of Victoria with an honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree in recognition of his remarkable work.
Dr. Grant has covered international assignments from Vietnam to the children of Chernobyl. In 1999 Grant,along with fellow photographic legend Yousuf Karsh,received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communications. He is the only photographer to ever receive both a Gold and Silver Medal of Photographic Excellence from the National Film Board of Canada. Grant has published seven books, three of them dedicated to the work of medical professionals. In 2003 Doctors' Work: The Legacy of Sir William Osler was republished, followed in 2004 by Women in Medicine: A Celebration of Their Work, co-authored with Sandy Carter.
