Street Photography - At Home & Away: THE PORTLAND EDITION!

Joni KabanaJoin celebrated photographers Joni Kabana & Quinton Gordon for this 3-day workshop on Street Photography: The Portland Edition! 

We head down to Joni's hometown, this time, to work the streets of vibrant Portland. Hone your ability to make compelling images on the streets of any city in the world. Discover how to photograph people, cross cultural considerations, how to capture the subtle moments of life, as well as how to select and travel comfortably with your equipment.

Through a dynamic blend of presentations, discussions, field assignments and critiques you will learn how to make better photographs, how to edit your work and discover opportunities for publishing or displaying your photographs effectively.

Dates: Friday October 29 to Sunday October 31, 2010
Times: Friday 6pm – 9pm, Saturday 9 – 5 , Sunday 10 – 5
 *(Note some field assignments or critiques may be scheduled in the evenings.)

What to Bring:

A digital or film camera with a short zoom or prime 28, 35 or 50 mm lens.

We will be shooting in the following areas:

- Burnside Bridgehead (including Burnside Skatepark)
-     The Pearl
-     City Center
