NEW HORIZONS
Lis Bailly

“Our gaze returns again and again to the simple line of the horizon that celebrates the transition between earth, air, water and the fire of sunrise and sunset.  As light and colour constantly change, we are still and fully engaged in the moment.”  — Lis Bailly

KODACHROME IN BLOOM
a fundraiser for AGGV Children's Art Studio programs

This collaborative exhibition commissioned 12 photographers to respond to an open “botanical” theme.  Three rolls of Kodachrome were used, affording each photographer nine frames. The exposed film was shipped to Dwayne’s in mid-December for processing, just two weeks prior to the deadline.

STILL PENDULUMS
Dan Macdogall

MacDougall's original Still Pendulum paintings alongside his Still Pendulum photographic print. The prints have been individually 'mapped' by the artist to create a new and unique perspective to the image.

A MOMENT OF TRUTH: Rangefinder Chronicles
a curated exhibition

The works selected for this exhibition are all made using rangefinder cameras that allow the photographer to see the moment they capture without interruption and in each case the image captured is manipulated only by the photographers sense of the moment as they have framed it. A curated exhibition by Diana Millar & Quinton Gordon, of local & international documentary photography that explores the concept of "the moment" and our understanding of "truth" in photography and the role of the photographer as editorialist.

SENA

SENSING SPIRIT
Allan Mandell

a collection of images that step beyond rational identification of the subject matter and into the realm of inner experience.  What is the creative essence that animates all life  -  can this be depicted through photography?  With this collection I use horticulture as a leaping off point. I am interested in creating images that speak at once to our inner selves as much as to outer beauty.

“Often we use the camera to record reality, but my art distorts reality in away that evokes emotional response and inspires others to do more then just photocopy the world around them." Thomas Bartlett
