Eric Klemm - Silent Warriors
January 28 to February 27, 2010

Silent Warriors is a significant undertaking by photographer Eric Klemm, who traveled North America for a year making more then three hundred contemporary portraits of aboriginal people in Canada and the United States.
Klemm’s straightforward and vital portraits are reminiscent of Richard Avedon’s monumental work In The American West, allowing the subject ownership of their identity, while striving to make an honest record of people in their time.
Lúz Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of Silent Warriors, along with the book recently released by Steidl in Europe and North America.
